With the that big front porch and cedar shake detail, we saw this property and knew it could be a stunner. Like we do with all of our properties, we simply wanted to strip it back to it's original beauty and open up the floor plan. Built in 1935, Project 2 was in beautiful shape with strong heart pine bones. We restored the original floors and wooden windows. By vaulting the ceilings upstairs,  we exposed the pristine ceiling joists in the bedrooms - which turned out gorgeous. We created a master bathroom out of an original upstairs porch and kept all the original bead-board. With it's ship-lap walls and original heart pine everywhere, we referred to this project as the sweet little "Cabin on Carolina."
